BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON FLAVOURED CRICKETS

INGREDIENTS
Brussel Sprouts – 250g
Smoky Bacon Crickets – 10g
Red Onion – 1
Garlic Cloves – 2
Cranberry Sauce – 1 tbsp
Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce – 3 tbsp
Cooked Chestnuts – small handful
Thyme – 2 sprigs
Allspice – 1 tsp
Olive Oil (or Butter)
Salt and Pepper
METHOD
PREPARE THE VEGETABLES | 5 mins
Finely dice the red onion.
Shred the brussel sprouts.
Roughly chop the chestnuts.
De-stem the thyme.
COOK THE SPROUTS | 10 mins
Put the oil (or butter) in a pan on a low-medium heat.
Put the onion in the pan, and once it begins to soften add the garlic.
Add the sprouts, with a splash of water, to the pan and turn the heat up.
Add the rest of the ingredients (apart from the crickets) and cook until the sprouts are soft.
Finally, add the crickets and cook for a minute until it’s warm through.
Serve immediately.
